Sunday Summer Night...

Its been a really productive rested, and sweated weekend. I believe I was able to do whatever I must do to prepare for a great week following.. Owning a House verses Apartment. Is a super HUGE difference. I'm glad my husband grew up in the country, and has experience with yard work, and in general handy man stuff. Though I finally just shout up, and got to my part of garden responsibilities. So, I choose a really hot day like today to get our front pond addressed, and really I was asking for it. We love the pond, but unfortunately because of mosquitos, and the pond pump keeps on breaking down. We decided to do a rock garden, I thought of an more asian/zen approach, and covered the pond with black mulch, and sand. Then I found a white buddha to sit which really contrasted well with the black mulch and stones. But man it was hot, and everything was heavy to lug around, and I always get itchy when I do yard work, then the mosquitos were working me like crazy!!  I have a lot of things that I do already besides being a mom, If I'm not working on design and art work, then its cooking, cleaning, and organizing. Adding garden work to that list just seems a bit insane. Anyways, the front garden is addressed, everything looks really pretty and cleaned up. Hopefully the dreadful mosquitos will be gone. As I sweated like no tomorrow, and I mean I sweated more sweat today then my hottest yoga class in my life, I had to come into the house quite a few times for cool air, ice water, and towel to wipe my face down. I was drenched, and sore like I ran at the gym for 2 hours straight. Though today I'm finishing this post with the news in the background about our local navy seals. Blessings and prayers of love to all their families. Times like this just really make me wish harder that the war of hate, ignorance, indifference may end with peace, for a braver new brighter world. I'm grateful today that I have my family next to me. I'm thankful tonight, and whatever craziness I endured with my front garden now, seems ridiculous.

This is us tonight, following august break photo play. My Ellie is growing up so fast. Bless all and have a great night..

Last Week of Design Studio Launch. Well that was the deadline..

July has been an interesting month,  I have been really trying to push out my site by the end of the month, but the process this past few days has been difficult. It has nothing to do with my work ethic,  time management, accountability, being a mother,  yadayada.  Actually, I have been working hard on really getting things in tip top shape, and planning out the launch process. The final details were suppose to be final, then I started to fuss around with the design elements over again today, resisting developing my new content, which slowed down the process, or else, the site without the content would've been done ages ago. Then I thought, let me take a look at Behance's Pro-site, and got sucked in there, wondering if  really is going to work for what I do. I love that Behance is already part of a great community. But their blog plug in options, really did not work for me. Which is something I hope they will further develop, after all, a community of creatives is also supported by many non-creatives. Though the rest of pro-site, was quite amazing. So right before 11:00am I went back to my near completed squarespace site. It has been really fun to work with squarespace, and I'm really at 90% mark now. I just need to get my manifesto copy and service page up, though I been resisting that too. So at this point, I'm just taking break so that I can re-prioritize and focus back on some drawing, client work, and yoga this week. Really I have a great holding page up, and I can send you a quick hot quote via email if you need a logo design / facebook page. I'm also pretty great in delivering museums, galleries, and businesses some wonderful catalogs, you can inquire within email: victoria@weissdesign.net and I'll send you a private link to review. After all if you really would like to work with me, you sincerely would understand that my new site needs love, and it needs a break from my craziness in order to deliver something amazing and authentic that will not waste your browsing time. So stay patient with Victoria, she will not let you down;-)
